8th Grade Full ELA Curriculum

Semester A

COURSE HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Learners will read The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, Ghost by Jason Reynolds, and Flying Lessons & Other Stories Edited by Ellen Oh
  • 4 unit course with each course ending in a project of the learner's choice to showcase learning
  • Language and Grammar mini-lessons at the start of each class to help strengthen English foundational skills
  • Learners will practice literary analysis, narrative, and argumentative writing
  • Common Core-aligned
